Wang Zhichao

Born in 1965, Ph. D. candidate, School of Economics, Peking University, is now secretary-general of China Insurance Industry Association.

He has been engaged in monetary policy, financial supervision, re-entry negotiations and the entry of foreign-funded financial institutions. In recent years, he has promoted the supervision of life insurance and the establishment of an actuarial system, the Forum on Enterprise Annuities and Insurance Development, the Forum on Health Insurance Development and the Forum on group insurance development were launched to further deepen the system of annual actuarial meetings and improve the system of actuarial examinations, it also initiates the qualification system of life insurance practitioners in China, advocates promoting the work of life insurance managers and life insurance financial planners in China, and initiates the compilation of life tables in China from 2000 to 2003.

He participated in the compilation of such books as“The challenges and opportunities of China's life insurance industry entering WTO”, “The compilation of life insurance products”, “The development and supervision of China's life insurance industry”, “The development report of China's life insurance industry in 2003” and“The development report of China's life insurance industry in 2004”. As the responsible person of the textbook, I have completed the book“Professional Ethics of life insurance practitioners”, which is a textbook for life insurance managers and life insurance financial planners in China.

Social part-time: Member of China Insurance Society, member of Executive Editorial Board of China Life Insurance qualification system, director of Teaching Material Sub-committee. Certification expert for labor and Department of Social Security Enterprise Annuity Agencies.

In October 2008, he was Beijing University of International Business and Economics as an adjunct professor at the Insurance Institute.
