The School of Insurance and Economics (SIE) has a wide range of joint learning programs with foreign universities, which shows its characteristic of internationalization. UIBE and the University of Kent in the UK jointly run a four-year university dual degree program in Actuarial Science. UIBE and the University of Manchester in the UK jointly run a four-year university dual bachelor degree program in Actuarial Science, a concurrent bachelor and master of science program with bachelor studies here in Beijing and MSc studies in the UK, and a dual MSc degree program. UIBE has also run a Dual Bachelor’s Master’s Program with Temple University in the US. All these provide chances for students to get degrees both at home and abroad. Multi-level cooperation including short-time visits and dual degree programs offers an advantageous external environment for the all-round development of students.

SIE has a Training Department, which serves as an important external window for the school to serve society and build our brand. Relying on the school’s distinctive international characteristics, well-qualified professional teachers, and connections with insurance companies, SIE has developed a cutting-edge and systematic curriculum system on the basis of customized thematic research and practical cases. It has formed a high-level, wide-ranging, and pragmatic talent-cultivating mode. In recent years, SIE has established extensive and in-depth cooperative relations with famous enterprises controlled by the central government such as China Re Group, China Export & Credit Insurance Corporation, People’s Insurance Company of China, China Post Life Insurance, Bank of China, etc., cultivating and providing high-quality, diversified and inter-disciplinary financial talents for enterprises.
